PHOTO RETOUCHING, RESTORATION, AND MANIPULATION
Photo Retouching and Restoration
• Enhancing and restoring badly faded photograph to its original exposure.
• Cleaning and removing spots, creases or tears of a damaged photograph.
• Restoring a missing part of a damaged photograph.
• Removing red-eye, an unwanted mole or birthmark, wrinkles, tattoos or stray hairs.

Photo Manipulation
• Add or remove a person from a group shot.
• Now you can rub out your EX.
• You can use your imagination to create the photo that you want.

When Photos for the Future receives your photograph (no larger than 8 X 12), we will professionally scan your photo and return the original to you. We will assess the amount of the damage, and determine the approximate amount of time the job  will take. Most jobs take about one or two hours. You will be sent an e-mail with a price quote before any work is performed. When the approved job is completed, you will receive an e-mail with a proof print. At this time you can decide on the size of the final print and how many you want. Unlike other web based businesses, at Photos for the Future you do not pay until the job is completed. For your safety as well as ours, we do not accept credit cards. We offer a flat rate of $45.00 U.S. dollars per hour to perform all work, plus the cost of the print. You can either pay by money order or personal check. Upon receiving your money order or when your personal check clears, your order will be shipped.

Three Levels Of Service
We have three levels of restoration. The two lower levels have a set fee. The fee for the highest level of restoration must be determined on a case by case basis.

NOTE:
Photos for the Future as the provider of the service, must have the final determination of the level of restoration required. We encourage you to talk to us about your project before we start any work.

Minor Restoration
Remove minor wrinkles, scratches, spots, stains, and tears in the photograph. Color and hue adjustments are also included. Image contrast and sharpness will also be adjusted as needed. $22.50 PER PHOTOGRAPH

Extensive Restoration
Extensive restoration involves all of the minor restoration areas as well as recreating missing sections of the photograph (when possible) and addressing larger, more complicated damage issues, such as large tears, extreme stains and spotting in the photograph.
$45.00 PER PHOTOGRAPH

Major Restoration
Major restoration involves the restoration of photographs that are extremely damaged due to any number of reasons. The operative phrase here is, extremely damaged. This can be due to tears, missing pieces, extreme spotting, etc. A rule of thumb is, that in any case in which the photograph is so badly damaged that viewing it for content and detail is difficult, major restoration is called for.
$45.00 per hour AND UP DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE PROJECT.

Retouching And Digital Magic
Digital technology allows us to remove a number of problem areas from a photograph, such as facial blemishes, moles, scars, wrinkles, red eye from flash units, hair, tattoos, backgrounds and more.
Things can also be added to a photograph, such as people, sky, new backgrounds, major scene changes, etc.
Imagination is the key word here.
This is a bespoke service, and each individual case will be assessed and priced accordingly.
$45.00 AND UP IS A GOOD RULE OF THUMB)

METHOD OF DELIVERY

Use the following chart to determine the best print quality you can get from photos using a variety of common resolutions. (Note that picture resolution is expressed using a figure such as 1,600 x 1,200, which indicates how many pixels wide by how many pixels tall the image is.) If you have a large image that you want to print at a smaller size than is recommended, shrink it using a Photo-editing application instead of letting the printer handle the job, or else output quality will suffer.

If your photo is between

the following resolutions...

...then this is its optional print size. (When a resolution is close to

the cutoff point between two entries, you can choose either one.)
